We care about your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our app, website, marketplace, and other related services and features we provide (the “Services”). It also describes your rights and choices. If you do not agree to this Privacy Notice, do NOT use the Services.

1.1 Account and Profile
What: Name, handle/username, email, password, date of birth (for age assurance), profile photo, settings.
Why: Create and manage your account, apply age‑appropriate safety settings, and help you log in securely.
1.2 Content and Activity
What: Videos, photos, audio, captions, comments, likes, follows, search queries, report/appeal information.
Why: Operate core features, show your posts to others, support discovery and recommendations, and handle reports and appeals under our Community Guidelines.
1.3 Messages (DMs and Groups)
What: Message metadata (who, when), and—where permitted by law—automated scanning of message content for safety risks (e.g., spam, grooming indicators, malware links).
Why: Reduce abuse, protect minors, and enforce our Terms of Service and CSAE Standards. We do not use DMs for ad targeting.
1.4 Device and Usage
What: Device identifiers, IP address, app/OS version, language, time zone, coarse location (from IP or if you allow it), log data, crash/diagnostics, performance metrics.
Why: Keep the app working, secure accounts, fight fraud/spam, and improve performance.
1.5 Commerce and Payments
What: Orders, delivery information, sellers verification data (including tax ID), limited payout data for sellers (handled by PCI DSS‑compliant processors, including Stripe, Inc.). We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment information.
Why: Process transactions, provide receipts, fulfill orders, facilitate marketplace operations, meet tax/financial obligations, and comply with anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) requirements.
1.6 Safety and Moderation Signals
What: Automated flags (e.g., suspected CSAM, grooming, animal harm), blocks/mutes, enforcement actions.
Why: Protect users and animals, and comply with safety and reporting laws (see CSAE).
1.7 Cookies and Similar Technologies
What: Cookies, SDKs, pixels, and mobile ad IDs used on our site/app.
Why: Necessary functions, security, and—where you consent—analytics and advertising for adults. See Section 4.4 and our Cookie Policy.
Legal bases for EEA/UK and similar regions: contract (to provide the Services); legitimate interests (safety, security, analytics, improvement); consent (where required, e.g., non‑essential cookies/SDKs, marketing); and legal obligations (e.g., tax, CSAM reporting).

Provide your feed, comments, DMs, groups, search, notifications, creator tools, and marketplace features.
Manage accounts, settings, and device security.

Enforce our Community Guidelines and CSAE Standards.
Detect and address policy violations (e.g., spam, grooming, animal harm, IP infringement).
Report CSAM to NCMEC (U.S.) and other authorities where required by law.
2.3 Personalize and Improve
Recommend content and creators you might like.
Analyze performance to fix bugs and make features faster and more useful.
Train systems that reduce harmful content and improve safety.
2.4 Communicate With You
Service updates, features, policy changes, and support responses.
Marketing messages only with consent where required (unsubscribe any time).
2.5 Legal and Compliance
Tax/financial compliance for marketplace features.
Respond to lawful requests and preserve data under valid legal orders.
Manage disputes and enforce our Terms of Service.

We don’t sell your ecommerce transaction data for advertising. We share information only as described below.
3.1 Service Providers
Hosting, storage, analytics, safety/moderation, payment processing, communications, and customer support—under contracts that protect your data.
3.2 With Other Users
Anything you choose to post publicly (videos, comments, listings, profile info). Private messages are shared only with recipients, subject to our safety scanning described above.
3.3 Safety and Law Enforcement
We report CSAM as required by law (e.g., to NCMEC in the U.S.).
We may disclose account information in response to valid legal requests and preserve data when we receive legally binding preservation orders.
We act to protect the safety, rights, and property of users, animals, the community, and Fureelz.
3.4 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer information as part of that transaction.
3.5 Aggregated or De‑identified Data
We may share insights that do not identify you (e.g., community trends or safety outcomes).
3.6 Donations (Fureelz Giving) and Third Parties
When donation features are available, you will be routed to third‑party processors and/or charity platforms. Those parties act as their own controllers under their terms and privacy policies. We do not solicit, receive, or control donor funds.

4.1 Your Controls in the App
Profile and content: Edit or delete your posts; update your profile info.
Privacy and safety: Set account privacy, manage who can comment or message you, block or mute users, and report problems.
Notifications: Choose the alerts you want to receive.
Account deletion: You can request account deletion in the app or by emailing privacy@fureelz.com.
4.2 Region‑Specific Rights (EEA/UK, Brazil, Canada, California) Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
Access: Get a copy of your data.
Correction: Fix incorrect information.
Deletion: Ask us to delete data, subject to legal/safety limits.
Portability: Receive data in a portable format.
Restrict/Object: Ask us to limit certain processing or object to it.
Consent: Withdraw consent for optional uses (e.g., non‑essential cookies, marketing).
How to exercise these rights: Use in‑app tools where available or email privacy@fureelz.com. We may ask for information to verify your identity. California users can also opt out of “sale”/“sharing” for cross‑context advertising; we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
Parental Rights: In jurisdictions requiring parental consent for minors, parents/guardians have the right to: (a) review their child's account and data; (b) request deletion of their child's account and data; (c) refuse or withdraw consent for data processing; and (d) receive information about how their child's data is used. Parents can exercise these rights by contacting privacy@fureelz.com with appropriate verification.4.3 Marketing Choices
We send marketing only with your consent where required. You can unsubscribe at any time from emails or in your settings.

Manage your cookie/SDK choices via “Manage Cookies” on our website or in app settings (where available).
We do not use behavioral advertising for known minors.

6.1 How We Protect Your Data
Encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, least‑privilege access, and ongoing monitoring.
Additional safeguards for minors (e.g., no precise location sharing).
No system is perfectly secure. Use strong passwords and keep your devices updated.
6.2 Where We Process Data and Transfers Abroad
We primarily store data in the United States.
When we transfer data from the EEA/UK or other regions, we use approved safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum/IDTA, plus supplementary measures where needed.

We keep information only as long as needed for the Services, for safety and legal purposes, and as required by law. Typical ranges:
Account/profile data: Life of the account; backups up to 90 days after deletion
Content (posts): Until you delete; cached/backup copies may persist up to 90 days
DM metadata: Up to 18 months; message content retained only as needed for safety or legal obligations
Safety/moderation logs: Up to 24 months (longer if an investigation is ongoing)
Crash/diagnostics: 90–180 days
Commerce/transaction records: Up to 7 years (tax/financial compliance)
